A new bag!

As you all know, I have really gotten into photography. I have accumulated lots of lenses and a flash. I desperately need somewhere to put everything and tote them around easily. I started searching a while back for the perfect bag. I really did not want another boring camera bag. Thankfully, I found my perfect bag!! It is the Classic bag from Kelly Moore. She is a photographer and bag designer. She decided to make bags that would protect your photography investment while looking very stylish and non boring camera bag.
If you are looking for a great bag for yourself or someone else, you MUST check out her stuff! www.kellymoorebag.com
She has a great blog and a photography site too.
Happy shopping.

Day 1

*Disclaimer*
I have so much to learn. As for now, most of these images are straight out of the camera. I will learn PS soon. I hope to get better with my pictures and learn more as I go. I truly figure something else out every time I pick up my camera.
Dustin's beloved bama played today. Of course that meant dressing Jack Henry for the game.
My future Bama player.

Wow! What is it with me and blogging?? We have been busy as always but I have just been spending all of my time with the boys. We stay really busy when Dustin is home and I devote all my attention to him(and JH of course) while he is home. We try to soak up all of the family time we can get because we know all too soon that it will be time for him to leave again..and it will be here so fast. I am really starting to get very sad and a tad depressed. Looks like this time might be the hardest on me.

On another note, I have been taking photography classes and got a new camera(Nikon d700) and lens(50mm 1.4) for those of you that are into photography. I took a local class and I have also done one online. I plan to take more online in the next few months. I still have so much to learn but at least I am shooting in manual. At the end of the month long online class, they suggested doing a 365 project. The thought behind this is to get familiar with your camera and the more you do the more you learn. I have learned so much by trial and error. The project is to take a picture everyday and then blog it so you can keep up with all of your entries. As of right now, that seems like a very good idea, who knows if I will stick with it but I think I just may try it.
Check back tomorrow..
I will start my project (I hope) and at least link you to a few blogs that have done this.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Boo, Y'all!
I plan on taking Jack Henry trick or treating tonight.(Dustin has to work) We may have some friends over to accompany us on our very first Halloween adventure. I took him to a fall fest yesterday. He had fun watching everyone but it was (of course) geared towards bigger kids. He will have fun at it next year though! We did play a few games..with help from Mom.
I am not feeling well so after the fest we both took a long nap. JH still has a runny nose(going on 3 weeks now) but I am getting the crud again. YUCK!
I hope everyone has a very Happy and safe Halloween!
From my Turkey to you.....

Birthday Weekend

What a weekend! On Friday, Dustin and I went out for drinks with friends but to my surprise we actually went to my surprise party. Dustin(with help from a dear friend) threw me a surprise party for my 30th Birthday. It even had a theme! It was a 20's theme and everyone was dressed flapper style and the guys even dressed the part too(they handed me my outfit when I got there). Say goodbye to the 20's and hello to the 30's. It was so original and cute! Dustin did a great job(yes, it was all his idea! Theme and all!) We all had a great time and had lots of great food. I am so blessed with wonderful friends and an amazing husband!

On Saturday we went to Minneapolis(or better known in these parts as "the cities"). We left Jack Henry here with his B. They had a great time and as we teased her she played "teen Mom" for the weekend. JH did great and they had lots of fun. I got a text from B that JH woke up in the middle of the night (he was sleeping with her) and got her phone somehow. She was awaken with sounds coming from her phone. Apparently, JH had called many of her friends but it was her ex boyfriends voice that woke her up. HA! When she got up and looked at JH...he had phone in hand, a huge grin and just started laughing when she caught him. UGH! What a Turkey he is!

Yesterday(Monday-25th) was my actual birthday. We enjoyed a very lazy, rainy day. We ran out and renewed my drivers license and then Dustin and I went out for dinner. It was a very low key day. Just perfect!

**JH update** What is he doing now? He has perfected crawling and is pretty darn fast. He is pulling up on everything and give really nice and super wet kisses. He has to take both hands and put them on your head and pull you close for a kiss though. That is how he works. LOL Oh, and we now have 6 teeth. 4 top and 2 on the bottom. He loves to bite shoulders and anything else he can get a hold of!

Okay, here are a few pics from Friday.

The party planners! Miss Ami and Dustin. So sneaky but they did a great job!

Party People! There are a few that did not make it in the pic but I was so impressed that everyone dressed up!(notice Mr. Harris is NOT in costume.

Sunday post #2!

Here are more pics from today!

A perfect fall Sunday

We gad a great lazy morning and then went to the pumpkin patch. We had lots of fun! They had hay rides, the pumpkin patch, pig races, petting zoo and so much more! It was great and we will be back next year.

This is Billy. He was trying to get to JH through the fence.

The pig races! It was so funny!!
